A Northeastern food company relaunches its range of chocolate products

One of Aberdeenshire’s biggest food brands is relaunching its range of chocolates with a new look to build on the success of its best sales year.

Mackie’s of Scotland has recorded over 700,000 candy bar sales so far this year, resulting in 8% growth over the previous year.

The best-selling product was honeycomb milk chocolate, while the fastest growing flavor was orange milk chocolate.

Mackie’s is expected to continue this growth with increased availability at Sainsbury’s, Asda and Coop as well as numerous independents and direct sales through its new online store.

Mackie’s of Scotland has relaunched its range of chocolates.

Stuart Common, Sales Manager at Mackie’s of Scotland, said: “We had record sales over the past year, and now we are aiming to build on that success with a completely new design.

“The packaging design features an illustration of the countryside inspired by the view from our original farm – a lovely way to pay homage to our heritage and to show that this is home-made chocolate in Scotland.

“The packaging also includes the all new brand logo introduced on our ice cream line earlier this year.

“In recent times, buying local Scottish products has become increasingly important to consumers, which we hope will help us win over even more Scottish chocolate fans. “

Mackie’s recently unveiled its new packaging design after consumer research led to the creation of a new look for the brand.

The redesigned design focuses on the company’s key attributes of the dairy farm’s heritage and the natural dairy ingredients of its ice cream – while retaining key elements of the original brand – like the dairy, the color blue and the shape of the pot.

Mr. Common added: “It has been a truly exciting year for Mackie’s as we launched our brand new look and redesigned e-commerce website, which allows direct selling to all customers who do not have our chocolate available in their local store. .

“The new bars will hit store shelves in the coming weeks. We hope they will be as popular and well received as the new branding on our ice cream jars.

“The new designs are also featured on an attractive range of products from mugs to tote bags which will soon be available on the website. “

The brand’s candy bars are made on the Aberdeenshire family farm in a former tractor shed factory, powered by renewable energy.

Mackie’s chocolate flavors are reminiscent of its popular ice cream flavors – dark, mint, a milk bar called traditional, honeycomb and orange, which is back by popular demand in time for Christmas.
